The Solar Panels (also called photovoltaic or PV panels) capture energy from the sun and turn it into DC power. It’s why panels are usually mounted on the side of your roof that has the most sun exposure (typically north or west).
Your inverter then changes this solar DC power into AC power, to make it suitable for you to use in your home or business.
Finally, your meter measures the amount of energy that your solar system exports and also what energy you draw from the grid. Please note, your meter will only record what is imported or exported to the grid and will not record what you have consumed.
